Scalar Switch
Outputs A while Selector is below 0.5 and B at 0.5 and above. There's no blend in between, so the output jumps straight from one value to the other.
Inputs
| Port | Type | Default | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Selector | Scalar | 0.0 | 0–1 | Below 0.5 outputs A, 0.5 and above outputs B |
| A | Scalar | 0.0 | any | Value used when Selector is below 0.5 |
| B | Scalar | 0.0 | any | Value used when Selector is 0.5 or above |
Outputs
| Port | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Out | Scalar | A or B, depending on Selector |
Ideas
- Feed Selector from a Sequencer with a 0/1 pattern to flip a parameter between two values on the beat.
- Wire a slow Oscillator into A and a Noise node into B, then right-click the Selector row to link it to a macro and flip between them by hand.
- Drive Selector with LaserIndex's Normalized output so the first half of an output group gets A and the rest gets B.
Tips
- Selector works per point. If it varies across the frame, some points take A and others take B.
