3D Shapes
Wireframe Cube, Pyramid, Octahedron, Sphere, and Cylinder nodes. They have depth, so patch them through Camera Projection to see them in perspective and turn them in 3D.
Inputs
All five shapes share Size and Depth. Sphere and Cylinder add Segments.
| Port | Type | Default | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Size | Scalar | 0.5 | 0–1 | Width and height |
| Depth | Scalar | 0.5 | 0–1 | Extent along the Z axis. At 0 the shape is flat |
| Segments | Scalar | 8 | 4–24 | Sphere and Cylinder only. Number of lines around the shape |
Outputs
| Port | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | Frame | Wireframe edges with depth |
Controls
Resolution: Low, Medium, High, or Very High. Sets how many points are sampled along the edges.
Ideas
- Animate Camera Projection's Pan and Tilt with slow Oscillators to tumble the shape in space.
- Animate Depth with an Oscillator to flatten the shape and pull it back out.
- Wire an Audio Input in Loudness mode into Size for a shape that pumps with the music.
Tips
- Without Camera Projection you see the shape straight on, with no perspective, so a Cube looks like a square. Give Pan or Tilt a small offset to show the depth.
