Rosette
A rose curve with a secondary braid layered on top. N controls the number of petals; D controls how many times the braid weaves around the figure. The result sits between a clean Rose and a denser, woven ornament.
Inputs
| Port | Type | Default | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Size | Scalar | 1.0 | 0–1 | Overall scale |
| N | Scalar | 5 | 1–12 | Number of petals |
| D | Scalar | 1 | 1–8 | Braid weave count |
Outputs
| Port | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | Frame | Closed rosette curve |
Ideas
- Start with N=5, D=2 for a five-petal rosette with a gentle weave. Push D higher for tighter braids.
- Modulate N with a stepped Sequencer to flip between distinct petal counts on the beat.
- Layer with Duplicator and small rotation offsets for symmetrical ornaments.
Tips
- Rosette adds visual complexity to the standard Rose shape. If you want a clean petal curve without the weave, use Rose instead.
