MODULASER PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: May 19, 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
RS Product Studio B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 91657563 ("RS Product Studio," "we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to your use of the Modulaser software application ("Software") and any related services provided by RS Product Studio. This policy describes the types of personal information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use our Modulaser software and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our website, software, and other online products and services (collectively, the "Services") or when you otherwise interact with us.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information, referred to as "Personal Data" in this policy, for providing and improving our Services. Personal Data may include details like your name, email address, and payment details. We use your Personal Data to manage your user account, to provide our Services, and to improve our Services. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services:
- Firebase: We use Firebase Cloud Firestore for storing and validating licenses. Firebase collects your email and license key. You can find detailed information about their privacy policy at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- Paddle: Starting from November 24th, 2023, we use Paddle for payment processing. Paddle may collect your name, email, payment details, and billing address. For more information on how Paddle processes your personal data, please review their privacy policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Mollie: Until November 24th, 2023, Mollie was used for payment processing. It collected your full name, email, IBAN, and payment details. You can find detailed information about their privacy policy at https://www.mollie.com/privacy.
- Amazon S3: We use Amazon S3 for hosting downloads. You can download Modulaser via this service.
- MailChimp: You can opt-in and sign up for our marketing emails. If you do, MailChimp will store your email address. You can find detailed information about their privacy policy at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/.
- PostHog: We use PostHog for product analytics on this website (for example, which downloads are popular) and, when you opt in, in the Modulaser desktop application. The website analytics run in cookieless mode and honor "Do Not Track." If you complete a purchase, we link the prior browsing in that tab to your customer record so we can understand which pages and referrers led to the purchase; this happens only at checkout and only for completed purchases. Alongside this link we store basic customer attributes against the record — plan tier, billing type, purchase timestamp, currency, the price you paid, and whether the purchase was an upgrade from a previous version — so we can analyse revenue and customer segments in aggregate. The desktop opt-in is off by default and can be toggled under Settings → General; events include counts of in-app actions, errors, application version, operating system, and a device identifier. On licensed installations the identifier matches your license; on unlicensed installations it is a random per-launch UUID. Project contents, MIDI and OSC data, and laser output are not sent. All analytics data is processed on PostHog servers in the European Union. See https://posthog.com/privacy for PostHog's privacy policy. To request deletion of analytics data already received, contact us at info@modulaser.app.
4. YOUR RIGHTS
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have several rights concerning your personal data:
- Access: You can request access to your personal information.
- Correction: You can request that inaccurate information be corrected.
- Erasure: You can request that your personal information be erased.
- Restriction: You can request restrictions on the processing of your data.
- Portability: You can request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@modulaser.app.
5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@modulaser.app so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
6. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We do not use cookies or similar technologies (like web beacons) to collect information about your browsing activities over time or across different websites. Our website product analytics (PostHog, see Section 3) runs in cookieless mode: no persistent identifiers are stored in your browser, and we honor the "Do Not Track" browser signal. You can opt out at any time by enabling Do Not Track in your browser or by contacting us at info@modulaser.app.
7. CONTACT US

If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Modulaser website. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
